Sometimes 2 bars. Mostly one or none. Probably no worse than other providers, but "We can't hear you yet."

Verizon Wire"less" has zero reception in the Scituate / Norwell Ma. area in general, for years. With a commuter train line close to Boston near completion running from Scituate, a customer should assume the large money sucking monopoly would be a lot more attentive to good service. Bitter-yes..Stuck with the monopoly yes..

Live in the Greenbush area and reception is not good, although a cell tower is 1 / 4 mile away. Had a Motorola Star Tac for years and the reception was pretty good. Rarely dropped a call. Have Verizon service. Got talked into buying an LG 6100 about a year ago at Grand Wireless and the reception on the phone is terrible. Drops calls all the time, even in good reception areas. So part of the problem is the phone. Never should have gone away from Motorola.

This sucks. I come down here on vacation and no one can get in touch with me because my cell phone is not much more than a paperweight.

I have had 3 different LG VX6100 and got fed up and Verizon gave me a Samsung a670 which worked much better and hardly any dropped calls. I just bought the new LG VX8100 with VCast and it can hardly hold a call without dropping service. I can send text, but cannot access VCast or send video or pics, but I could send pics and access the internet from the Samsung. So it isn't always the service. I was told that tri-mode cells are the best to go with or get a cell with a pull out antenna, the Samsung had this, all my LG's did not. Hope this helps.
