Coverage all throughout Cambridge and Somerville great. EVDO dead spot in Inman square, and the occasional call that goes straight to voicemail. Otherwise have perfect reception anywhere in metro area I've been.

No problems. I have to really be in the boonies, a bomb shelter, or a building with thick stone walls before my phone loses reception.

Almost no problems. Occasional drops calls in local area, but could just be the phone being funny. it likes to do that.

Have had the phone for 6 mos, never dropped a call anywhere between North Cambridge, Waltham, West, Newton and never downtown! Phone even works inside the Park Street T stop and much of the green line in that area!
Had AT&T GSM service with a Nokia 6200 (sweet phone) but it worked everywhere but inside my apt. (only other carrier that works in there is ... yuck ... Sprint ... whom I divorced after 3 years.)
The SE T610 is not perceived as the T-mobile phone with the best reception (Nokia 6610 series probably is) but much of that is due to the inaccurate reception counter which sometimes fluctuates inexplicably when you are at a standstill. Proof: I can still place calls and surf the web when at John Harvard's brew house (which is in a basement) with the phone displaying 0 bars.
Go for this combo, don't look back, you won't regret it. I've had all service providers in my 7 years in Boston and am going to stick with this one.

Reception is great, inside and outside the house, and in the whole neighborhood. Usually full bars. However I do experience extremely frequent dropped calls and mid-call tower-switching, or so it seems. In the middle of a phone call with 4-5 bars, the conversation suddenly goes dead for several seconds (not even ambient earphone noise), the phone makes a short burst of pulsing hums, and then the conversation comes back just as abruptly as it disappeared. This is similar to problems many others have reported with this phone, so I don't know if it's a signal issue, a phone issue, or some artifact of how this particular phone deals with signal problems. But for what it's worth, it's my experience.

I never get good reception in our house. This house is so cold and has no insulation so I highly doubt it's the thickness of the walls!

My Sprint phone does not work in my house unless I'm leaning against the window, which is a terrible option in the winter. I do receive text messages intermittently, however, they usually come in late in the night which consistently wakes me up. I do not enjoy how spotty the coverage is. When I visit my family in the north shore, it is even worse. I have to drive five blocks to get one bar of service.
