I have perfect service all around the city and the surrounding areas. The only problems I have with service are in the normal places (grocery stores, etc). I think Verizon is great in this area to get good service. I drive to Boston a ton and the service is perfect there. I also went up to NH for skiing and I still got great servic. Even in Canada, which is roaming, I still had full service. I would say that if you live around here, then Verizon is the way to go. Just make sure that if you get a phone with a built in antenna then you might encounter more problems with reception than someone with a stub antenna.

Verizon is the way to go! Very tired of dead spots and dropped calls on the Nextel phone.

I live in Taunton and have a farm in Swansea. I travel frequently from Taunton to Swansea. Phone service is fair in Taunton and just about non-existent in Swansea. I have the Nokia phone and personally found not much difference between a rock on the farm and this phone and service. The worst part of it is that I was pre-warned to stay away from T-mobile. I'll listen next time.

Had Nextel, corporate switch to Cingular / ATT, reception has been fair to poor, Cingular acknowledges that it is the best it can be.

I can barely ever talk in my house with my phone. The reception sucks. I would really like to hear the people when I'm talking to them... but I guess that's just too much to ask.

Virgin Mobile reception is horrible. I would walk ten feet and have perfect reception then step another foot and have no reception. I always had dropped calls and it wasn't worth it.

Reception is poor, seems to have gotten worse. I use to be able to talk inside the house and now I only have one bar and continusly get disconneted. If anyone lives in this area and has Verizon could you please comment on how their reception is in Taunton and it's souronding area. Thank You.
