pleased with verizon, however, thinking of iphone so need to consider changing to at&t. have heard that service is awful in western mass. help! contract ending soon and dont know what to do!

I have been in Westfield over 6 years with Sprint service and it has only gotten better over the years. Occassionally I have had reception problems over the 6 years (which have improved)but basically I get Very good reception and no dropped calls all over Westfield and the surrounding areas. On 202 heading East between Westfield and Holyoke on the top of the pass I have always lost calls and inside BJ's in Chicopee, but that is those are the only areas. I frequently travel into NH, NY, CT and eastern MA.

If you can complete a call, it gets dropped quickly all over this area. Used to have 4 or 5 bars, now lucky to have 1. Signal faded, call was lost message is driving me crazy. can't hold a call through the bershires anymore, nor east of Palmer until Charlton, then loses again at junction of I90 and I495. Frequently drops calls seemingly at random. Same problems on wife phone and kids phones( all different from mine). Sprint techs said the phones are fine, all passed "signal test". I have been with Sprint for 8 years and can't wait to dump them, it has never been this bad. Anyone else having this expeirence?

I am at Westfield State College, and the cell phone reception isn't bad outdoors, but not great. Inside buildings and my residential hall is the worst for reception. I get anywhere between no reception to 2 bars of reception max when I am in a building. I constantly loose reception all the time when I call home from my dorm room. I don't know if the phone I have is a piece of junk or if it is the cell towers in Westfield, but something is seriously wrong with the cell phone reception out here!

Just moved here from out of state. Sprint PCS is worthless here, and not much better in Northampton. My partner's Verizon seems a tiny bit better.

Since starting work in Westfield, I cannot receive or make calls in this area. Calls are being dropped all of a sudden for the past month. Very frustrating. I don't know if it was because I changed my phone from a Nokia to a RIM blackberry or commuting to that part of Westfield every day. I lived in Westfield for a time with my Nokia phone and had no trouble. Now I drive there from Agawam and have connection problems. Not happy about this and want to change providers and possibly go back to a Nokia phone.

Area of Huntingdon near Knightville Dam and Gardiner State Park eastward to Route 20 near Russell State Police barracks. No cell phone service (using T-Mobil ToGo).. but screensaver 'ghost' remains - so some minimal reception but insufficient for transmission and full reception. Cell-phone transmission& reception is full and normal on approach west of Russell State Police barracks on US 20 just east of Huntingdon-Russell line.

I have not gotten reception in about 3 days.
