The area defined by Hamilton Ave, Northern Parkway, Belair Rd and Harford Rd has dreadful signal, though outside of this area signal rapidly improves. My commute home brings me up Harford Rd, and when I pass Lake Montebello, I have 4 bars, but if I'm on the phone, by the time I hit Hamilton Main Street, my call has dropped.

Reception in my home office is very poor. I sometimes lose a call 2 or 3 times during a 10 minute call. My many calls to Nextel does no good. Their standard reply is: "Experiencing some equipment problems in your area"... or... "Will soon be adding another tower"... yada yada.

my friends have fancy phones and none of them get service in my basement apartment that happens to be in the bottom of a large natural valley known as cross county. my phone cost me fifty dollars with out a contract and I get service everywhere. but I pay.15 cents a minute. virgin mobile is nice.

Great reception all over Baltimore, but I haven't really used it outside of Baltimore so all I can tell you is this specific area.

Great reception outside. The signal is weak in some houses.

Nextel's great in the county, but is terrible in the city. I rarely get a signal anywhere in the city and if I do, it bottoms out after a minute.

For some reason, the reception is getting poorer over the past few months. Especially inside the buildings.

Very good coverage throughout the area. It's actually difficult to find dead zones. Calls very rarely drop.

I've never had a problem with Verizon anywhere in Baltimore. I don't think I've ever even had a dropped call!
