US Cellular has by far the best coverage of any provider in the area. They do a pretty good job of covering the entirety of the two western counties and are perfect for anyone who lives in the area. Coverage extends to the east and west to the larger towns of Morgantown and Hagerstown, which seem to be the two most traveled locations of those who live around here. There are a few problem areas, especially in between Westernport and Frostburg, but rarely bad enough to drop a call. I can't stress enough how complete their network is around here, and highly recommend them to anyone who lives here and doesn't travel too much. Also they use CDMA so it would be my assumption that Verizon customers would get the same excellent coverage, only roaming. I know no one with Verizon, however, so I can't say I've tested this hypothesis. Additionally, their entire network here is digital, so you either get a digital signal or none at all. Having used them since they were all analog, I'm happy that its all digital now, as it makes quite the difference. Their new phones aren't the greatest, and their smartphone selection is pretty poor too, but overall phones are acceptable.
