Hideous, hideous, hideous. Calls constantly dropped, and web / app usage is pretty much impossible. I work in Bethesda and live in Baltimore, and the reception at home is 1000 times better. I have the same issues all over DC that I do in Bethesda. It's embarrassing that AT&T hasn't invested enough in the nation's capital to provide even a minimum level of acceptable service. I'll definitely be switching to Verizon with the next version of the iPhone.

OK reception. Varies around Washington DC but generally average to good. 3G fairly consistent.

I get coverage even in my basement, not too shabby. T-Mobile couldn't even hold a signal on the first floor of my house.

We used to get great reception and then AT&T took over Cingular. Now I can't make calls at home without losing them. The AT&T reps told me to bear with it - they are upgrading towers post-merger and it will take some time for reception to improve - but that sounds like a lame excuse and of course no suggestion from them to refund me for the loss of service. I am looking at moving our whole family and our $225 per month bill to another carrier.

Reception is almost perfect in all areas I'm driving through every day (Poolesville MD; Germantown MD; Rockville MD; Bethesda MD; Wash. D.C.; Baltimore MD; Annapolis MD; Gaithersburg MD, Frederick MD; Leesburg VA...!). I did not find a location where I have less then 2 bars or none. Most of the time I have full reception or at least 3-4 and the quality/sound is great, too. So far ATT&T really impresses me and like the comercial shows and says the network america and I trust:).

Two bars when I step in my house but outside it is great. On Rockville Pike good reception. In my office on rockville other service providers almost one or no bar but mine gives 2-3 bars.

I get almost no reception in my house. The only thing its good for is text messages. I have to go outside to have a call that hopefully won't be dropped. I got a card in the mail from Sprint saying they were upgrading and adding new towers in my area but so far nothing has changed. It seems like my friends Verizon phones work everywhere so I will be changing very soon.

phone goes on roam or I receive no service at all when i'm in my apt. sometimes I can get service if I sit close enough to the window in my living room! Bad bad bad!

I never get reception in my house or around my neighborhood. If I want to use my cell phone, I have to Dr.a little bit away just to get a signal

Good reception till Feb. 2011. Now rarely and only a highest point of the road. Also 0-2 on parts of Hamilton Springs Rd.

I often get zero or one bar at my home and keep being told that I'm in a five bar area. T*Mobile keeps telling me that I'm wrong... . and they won't let me out of my two year contract.

Neighbor across the street from my house can not hear what I'm saying.

Great everwhere but in my house. My neighbors Verison phone works full strength in the same house.

4 out of 4 bars outdoors. 3-4 bars indoors.
