Verizon is awesome in the Charles County corridor the only deadcells are on a stretch of Billingsley Rd.between Bryans Road, and White Plains... ... Verizon should really drive that location... ... . other dead spots are further south in the county toward Nanjemoy. However, Indian Head, Bryans Road, and the 210 corridor north have excellent Verizon coverage

So, after hating my horrible Verizon service for months, I've finally got it working well after buying a new Kyocera KX1 handset. The difference in the ability to connect and the difference in the audio quality between this new phone and my LG VX-3100 is unreal. The KX1 still has a bit of a hard time in the worst spots around town, but, unlike the LG phone, it's something that's worth having. Well worth the $ I paid for the Kyocera (full retail $ from Verizon - ouch! but at least I can use it now)

LG 3100 and Verizon wireless is a poor combination here. Picked up a used Motorola 60i, which gave me about a 10% better signal, slightly fewer dropped calls.
