My reception is good in this area. Although I do not have good reception in my home. I have to have my cell in the right place to receive or send calls. As for outside it works fine. I get reception from neck district fire house all the way to town. This is about 11 miles outside the city of cambridge. Also this phone works well out on the Chesapeake Bay. Some dead spots near land but overall good service. I do have dead zones from the fire hall down to the bay shore, so it is not perfect. For me it works just great.

Verizon's coverage of this area is excellent. 5 bars of signal just about everywhere in Cambridge and between 3-4 bars in the surrounding areas. My girlfriend had Sprint and Cingular and both were horrible.Shed have to go outside to maybe grab 1-2 bars and calls still dropped constantly. The only bad thing about Verizon is the service inside theirs stores. Technical help takes forever, mainly because they have 2 people working to solve your phone problems and 7 people trying to sell you a new phone and resign a 2-year contract.
