One bar or less on my street, porch and inside house. Improves dramatically once I hit Rolling Road. No problems in Catonsville, Arbutus or Ellicott City otherwise...
I never got good reception in our apartments. My first cell phone was no reception at all. next cell phone was a little better. my current sony 810i is the best one yet (still not that great in my apartment though). I always had to goto right near a window to have a chance at a good signal. outside is fantastic though 4-5 bars right outside my building.
I constantly have dropped calls on Frederick Rd.between Dimitri's and the library. On North Rolling Rd.between Candlelight Inn and Route 40. On Maiden Choice Lane. On Devere. And sporadically at my house. I'll be sitting at a traffic light and not moving and my call will drop. Catonsville has horrible service with AT&T
Scince Sprint took over Nextel, I can't get a signal anywhere in Catonsville. Frederick Rd, Edmonson Ave, Rt 40 and all roads in between are a "no signal" zone
Catonsville has terrible reception! It is rare that I can make a phone call, and when I am able to I get cut off within five minutes of the conversation because the reception completely drops off. I've also noticed that there is zero reception along stretches of I-695, especially when you near the I-795 connector.
I am still waiting to get reception in my house. Or reliable reception anywhere in Catonsville. Reception is pretty much awful to non-existant everywhere in 21228. Especially bad at Catonsville High School, UMBC, CCBC and thje Frederick Rd corridor.
Frederick Rd.between the two Rolling Roads has terrible reception. It seems to be that way with any carrier although some have better moments than others but none are consistent with having coverage they can count on. We need a tower desperately.
I've been using Verizon EVDO Service for about a year now, its like having DSL where ever I go. The download speeds are fantastic, it really does make your office mobile. The signal in and around the city is awesome. Keep up the good work Verizon.
