If we go to the top of the hill, we can connect (sometimes to the upper floor of house). Verizon was worse than Cingular. The reception is just bad at our location. We have to drive to an area where we can connect. Brink Rd. and Ridge Rd. to I-270 has good reception.

The bars show but the static ruins the call. All calls. All the time. Didn't have this problem with AT&T.

I get no reception in my office building where people with with Nextel and Verizon have strong signals. I must go outside to make calls. Poor signal strength 50% of the time no matter where I am. I switched from Nextel. I had no problems with Nextel. Now I know why the police and fire departments use Nextel.

No problems at all. Good reception throughout the area - in the neighborhood and in the region.

Am still on AT&T contract with Cingular. On first floor, if I stand it the right place in the house, can get 1-2 bars, but lose connection if I walk around. no bars in basement. Signal has gotten worse in last year.

Cellular has very poor reception (searching for signal) when outside driving on a good part of Mid County Hwy. Frequent dropped calls indoors. Get only one bar in the basement and first floors, and 1-2 bars on the second floor. Reception has not improved since the merger with ATT wireless.

Excellent vzw reception here - much better than Sprint.

Verizon has been awful. Service seldom reaches three bars, and it disappears completely when I go indoors. Now, at this given moment, it appears that the network is down or something... it has been for a few hours. ARGH! Countless dropped calls, many unreceived calls, many unreceived voicemails, and plenty of text messages that aren't received. Verizon is the devil.

In my basement, 1 or 2 bars. Occassionally calls are dropped, but usually am able to make calls ok.

Called Cingular and found out: need to change serttings in my phone from automatic network detection to manual. When searching for available networks in manual mode, select second Cingular network (there will be 2 + one T-mobile), This solves the problem of poor reception. Now I don't have dropped calls or bad quality of sound. I wish I new that before. Hope this helps.

However, inside my home drops to below average.

i live on longdraft Right off of clopper road, every since I switched to GSM and Cingular bought AT&T Wireless service has improved, but even on the third floor is get irraic service, dropped calles and messages that arrive hours later or dont arrive at all. calls always drop, other never go through, none of my friends who have every other service provider ever gets service at my house, right as you turn onto my street service fades, the only explanation I can think of is there just isnt any towers within range to cover the gap.

I have to stand in the bathroom on the second floor, to get a single bar of reception. The entire intersection of Muddy Branch / Great Seneca is like this for me.

I have been receiving poor reception for the past month. I will have drop calls, static and the phones will constantly be looking for network service. I will have all the bars when this is happening. I have never had a problem with any other phone services. This is very troublesome since I am locked into a contract and I don't know how I can get out of this. It is not worth having a phone service when the service is not even going to work. This is not only happening in my home area. It was also happening in Deleware and West Virginia.

Inside a friend's two-story house, on the first floor, I get zero to two bars. (Verizon CDMA) Outside the house, I get three or four bars. I think Montgomery County in general has lots of hills, which can make cell reception poor.

Worse service. Cuts off, doesn't connect, voicemail messages can come through up to a month later, no service in home.
