Reception is spotty, between 0 / 4 and 4 / 4 bars. Sometimes it goes into Extended mode and may drop calls or does not ring. Can't be relied upon to ensure completely reliable communications BUT it appears many carriers have difficulty in this area. There are a lot of surrounding tall trees (without leaves right now) and in the house I'm getting 2-3 out of 4 bars. A neighbor 1 / 4 mile away has Verizon with no problems. Having a signal booster on the house roof would be nice, if one exists. The goal is to provide one number to clients and friends. I tried "call forwarding" the landline number to the cell phone when traveling and the system got caught somewhere in between when I turned it off, blocking landline calls to the landline phone, intermittantly. After several tech visits, the Verizon repairman reset the landline call forwording and everything worked. Haven't used call forwarding since. You don't know it's not working until you expect a call and later someone says they tried several times and could not even leave a message in the phone system mailbox. Grrrr, technology.
