I have been a customer of Sprint PCS since 1998. Over the years, reception has improved dramatically in the Germantown, MD area. I believe it is due to expansion of towers around the area. Reception in the Germantown / Boyds area off Rt. 118 and Clopper is great. The signal in my townhouse is very strong and I never experience any dropped calls. In fact, most people think I'm on a landline due to the high call quality. Friends that come over that subscribe to Verizon Wireless do not get a signal in my home. They have to stand outside in front of my house to get a signal (and it's weak).

5 / 5 Bars anywhere in the house. 3 / 5 bars in the basement. Had Verizon prior and, although the signal was ok, the sound quality on Verizon's network isn't nearly as good as Sprint. Tried several different brands of phones with them and they just couldn't compare. When Sprint says crystal clear calls, they mean it.

Great reception everywhere outdoors, and 2-3 bars in my house. My husband has Verizon service and it only gets one or no signal in our house. My neighbors use Cingular and have the same problem.
