4-5 bars in home Verizon 2-3 bars, maybe AT&T customer service vanishing like signal strength; AT&T "unlimited Plans" no longer grandfathered, Will TMobile survive Govt Regs to prevent AT&T from monopolizing last remaining great service and descent reception???

No reception in the house, one bar (sometimes) outside. ATT gave me a microcell, unsolicited, a year or so ago. It works in the winter, usually, but not when there are leafs on the trees.

Terrible reception in Germantown with AT&T. Sometimes I have as little as one bar of service at my home. Pretty darn pathetic as I'm only 15 miles north pf the 7th largest metropolitan area in the country. Then again, some areas of downtown Washington D.C. are deadzones for cell reception with AT&T. When I go shopping at Target at the Milestone Shopping Center here in town I literally have no reception. Will be switching to T-Mobile as soon as my contract is up.

I have both AT&T (for work) and Verizon (personal). AT&T's coverage is consistently weak from White's Ferry all the way through Potomac and points in between. Verizon on the other hand has flawless coverage. In fact I get three bars while crossing on White's Ferry to zero bars on AT&T. Around Germantown, Verizon is hands down better. I do extensive traveling around the USA and have discovered that Verizon is best on the East Coast and AT&T is best on the West Coast. As far as Montgomery County Maryland is concerned, stick with Verizon.

I generally get between 2 to 5 bars but occasionally I will have no service. I never know which I will get and have had dropped calls too often. At my parents house in Aspen Hill area of Flint Rock rd, I never get any service in my parents basement and have to go upstairs or outside to talk usually. As another reviewer stated, I can't believe living in a major tech area that customers have so many issues with reception. Not acceptable!

I moved to Germantown,MD in July and since then have been frustrated with T-Mobile reception and quality. I work in DC and it has been equally bad. I'm waiting for another week to get out of my contract and perhaps switch to Verizon (although their plans are relatively quite expensive).
