We've never had any bars / service ever at our house. was hopeful when new tower went up accross the road yesterday however it is so low no one on east falls rd can even see the tower. Only carroll county side of hampstead balto county will have service and they already had service. But for the people having none, will anything else be built for us? Please assure us that the signals from this new tower will shoot through the ground / hills to all of us who pay in all these yearsa and get nothing.

According to AT&Ts coverage map, I should have "Great" reception. I'm lucky to get 1 bar. I have to go outside my area to call customer service, who then want me to test my phone from my house. They can't seem to get it through their heads there is NO SERVICE at my house. They will go through the textbook to troubleshoot my phone but refuse to send someone out to my area to test it. There are times when I have to resort to getting help through email since my phone is useless. Again, they want me to use my phone telling me "email is not the most reliable way to troubleshoot" uh... if the phone doesn't work, how else am I to communicate? As much as I hate Verizon, I may have to switch as many Verizon users in my area have no issues. AT&T may claim they have great coverage but customer complaints show otherwise. When will AT&T listen??? maybe their phones have no bars either!

Reception bars fluctuate wildly with stationary phone. I work from home and my iPhone 3GS is always in the same spot right on my desk. I can go from 0 / 1 bars to 5. Yet, ever at 5 bars, I'll get voicemail notifications without having the phone ring. Or, similarly, catch the last milisecond of the last ring before the call goes to voicemail. This is all before the soon-to-be-release of Apple's fix for their lying reception bars. But that doesn't explain the wild fluctuation. I used to think it was all due to the iPhone, but now I'm starting to appreciate it's a combination of a phone that likes to drop calls and poor signal strength (which I previously thought was fine due to the lying bars).

Reception is iffy at best. Every day its out of service half the time and when I do get service it disconnects within seconds of talking on the phone. many days I get no reception.
