The reception is poor both inside and outside of the house. I believe this is due to the abundance of overhead utility wires which are creating inteference with the transmission of the signal. This is a very OLD neighborhood This poor reception extends throughout the Landover Hills area on only improves in the vicinity east on Annapolis Rd.near New Carrollton and points west of Annapolis Rd.close to the Routes450 and 202 split. The interesting thing is that I see neighbors in their yards talking on the telephone all the time - not sure what carrier they have, but VERIZON's service is extremely POOR in this vicinity.

I can not get any type of reception, maybe a bar if that in the house. It is crazy, I have to go on the deck or stand right next to the window, or even go out the front door to get a reception.

When you are out side you have great reception, but dont even think about going in your house. You would be better with a land line phone.

Since going back to Verizon, I've had nothing but good reception. With T-Mobile and Cingular, reception and signal strength was not good. I could only get a few bars with my T-Mobile in certain rooms in the house, my home is made of brick. My Verizon service lets me talk anywhere in the house now including the basement where I could never pickup any signals.
