If you leave at any of the apartment buildings in Larchdale Rd you end up with one bar or no bar at all. The signal its really bad.

Will barely get a signal in the apartment. The phone keeps going in and out of service (0 to 1 bars) and reception is horrible, keep dropping calls. Sitting in the parking lot is a little bit better but still drops calls. While sitting in the parking lot, dropped call to customer service three times in a row!

T-Mobile improved service just this past week. Whereas my calls before were dropped almost every time, now I can actually call people from inside my apartment. I can even move around the apartment and the signal will degrade to only 3 or 2 bars.

Almost no reception at all in North Laurel. Do not get T-Mobile if you live in the laurel area. When I go inside, I get no reception, have to face a window or go outside to make a call. my contract ends soon so I hope to switch to Cingular which seems to have better reception in laurel.

Inside my apartment, I get either one or no bars. On my balcony, I can get two if I'm lucky. Moving around my apartment, I lose the signal. So, to make a call, I have to be perfectly still. This is OK, since I just put the cell phone down on a stool and use the ear piece to speak into it. But it also sort of defeats the purpose of a cell phone. I was hoping that I could just have a cell phone as my primary phone, but it seems that I may have to get a land line. Reading the other reviews for this part of Laurel, it seems you would get bad reception no matter who the carrier is. My neighbor also complains about bad reception. The most vexing part is that my phone gets good reception if I go about a mile north or south of here. So it seems like I'm in this no-man's land between cell towers. I bet you the first company to move in here would have a lot of people switching to them. So, I suppose if you are going to live in North Laurel, think about a land line.

This is a recent improvement. Before August 2004, we had no signal from this locale. Now we usually get 2 bars.

I don't really pay attention to bars of reception; it's probably 3 or 4 in most places, and the voice quality is almost always clear and loud. I have used this phone for the past 2 1 / 2 years and don't remember ever dropping a call anywhere. It works in every room in my house, including the cellar; in my car wherever I've traveled; in stores; even out in the woods in Indiana. Maybe my phone's analog reception helps there. I have no complaints about Verizon's coverage.

My service with Verizon has been great. I've read some of the complaints involving Verizon service and I heard that the best brand of phone to use with Verizon service is LG because it works best with Verizon's towers. Also, some of those Verizon users with the complaints may not be updating their phones software by pressing *228 at least once a month. Of course, everyone's case is different.

Most of the time the signals are between 2 / 3, but due to the hills, when you are inside the house the signals can be 0 / 1. For the past 6 years, I have tried all major carriers and Verizon is still the best!
