Coverage got really bad in summer of 2009 and never recovered. Drops calls every 5 minutes, Bars go up and down like kids on a trampoline. Static, network busy messages, total mess. Didn't want to go to Verizon because of their out-sourcing and anti-union history, but at least some their workers are still union, and they are doing what AT&T can't; provide mobile phone service.

It varies for me. I get no reception in my basement and and service goes in and out sporadically throughout the rest of the house!

I almost always get 3 bars, even inside of a second floor apartment building. I have had average customer service and the tower has gone done a few times in which I was in roaming mode, but, for the most part I've been very satisfied with my reception, however, I haven't used my phone further than the mountains in Poconos Pennsylvania and Virginia.

T-Mobile has never given me any problems. except in buildings. Inside school, no bars but I see basically everyone else getting service. Almost everywhere in and around baltimore I get great service.

I just switched from Cingular to AT&T because of company discount. Zero to poor reception at my house. I swapped pnones for a Nokia 6200 and reception improved to poor to below average. Near interstates, reception is good. It is also fine in College Park. At my house, Cingular recption was about the same (none to poor). Nokia is definitely better for reception than LG. According to the AT&T rep, in this area, your phone can show AT&T, Cingular, or T-Mobile as all are GSM and have agreements with one another - so no additional charge for which ever has the best signal.
