	We just moved to the area from NY, and since moving here, we've experienced more dropped calls than we have in the last 5 years. The Verizon rep tells me it's because of the storms, but we had plenty of storms in NY with no interference. We're looking for a new service, though it seems from the reviews that it's not a great area out here.

	Averaging 3-4 drops per call. My Verizon Wireless card has the same problem. I have a huge window so I'm not sure what the problem is and Verizon has not responded to my email.

	No service at all in my apartment building. There are 5 floors and I live on the third. I have dropped calls constantly and call quality / reception is below poor. Think twice about Verizon. I think people go with them because of name recognition but the service truly is lousy.

	I'm not sure why everyone else has been writing with 1s and 2s for reception for Verizon Wireless in the Silver Spring area. I suspect that it may have to do with inferior phone models. I have never had less than 4 bars anywhere in Silver Spring, even in the basement garage of my apartment building with a Motorola E815. Driving around the Washington Metro area, I never have less than 4 bars anywhere, even anywhere on the Beltway. Just my 2 cents.

	Occasionally good enough to carry on a simple conversation upstairs, but often no reception at all in the basement. Sometimes it works a little better on the front porch.

	At the house, good reception inside (except basement), outside very strong signal. Previously used ATT TDMA, did not work well inside, had to go outside near the street to make a call.

	Drops half my calls, usually when I'm first making or receiving. The phone always shows four or five bars, but as soon as I hit send it goes away. I tried the Samsung 650 trimode phone which was recommended by Verzon, but it made no difference. Same problems indoors and outdoors.
