Had fine reception for a full year. Since just before Thanksgiving - something going very wrong. A few weeks of call recipients complaining about unbearable echo - I could hear nothing at all on my otherwise fine line. Then in December the service started to drop calls. Reception strength now hovers from zero to 1 or 2 bars, dropping suddenly, then returning to 4 bars for a moment. AT&T would like it to be the phone but it is not.

When are there going to be more towers going up?? Seriously, we need more cell phone coverage and it's not fair that we don't have the 3g network let alone BASIC cell phone coverage, it's ridiculous!

cingular works here beside youngs lobster pound, in camden and bar harbor, not sure what towers I am using.

Reception comes and goes, but mostly goes. My only reception at Crosby Manor Estates is down on the dock, where it is mostly OK

i have one to no bars I have very little service us cellular at one time was going to put a new tower up but that was going on two years ago they need to get a new tower

I bought the service plan because Verizon stores advertised coverage in Belfast. During the past year it has disappeared in East Belfast on Kaler Road. Good service in town but none over the bridge and up the river.

Verizon works well in the center of Belfast, and along Route 3 between Augusta and Belfast, and down Route 1 between Belfast and Rockland. There are weak spots in Lincolnville or Camden. But out in the bay, on Islesboro, coverage is nonexistent. In this area, Verizon has relied on U.S. Cellular for its coverage, so far as I have been able to learn. Phones say Extended Coverage. But apparently Verizon is installing new towers in the midcoast area. Verizon has applied in Belfast to put one in the church steeple on Church St. in Belfast.
