Live in Dayton, ME and in the Saco, Biddeford, Dayton Hollis area there is usually limited service. Our phones will shut off for no reason-laying on the counter in our house, driving down the road and even when we go to answer the phone. We have to walk around the house to find a signal and then stay in that one spot if we have to make a call. Wish there was a carrier that could provide us with service. Unfortunately just signed another 2 year contract for 2 phones. Husband is ready to throw phone out in woods.

I could be wrong but it seems in the last 6-12 months my reception has become less than tolerable. Most AT&T customers I know who do NOT have a smart phone have the same complaints about dropped calls and bad coverage. Is bandwidth prioritized for smart phones? I'm very unhappy with what used to be excellent service and can't get a straight answer other than get a smart phone and spend more... .ya ok

I've had AT&T and now, Cingular for years. The reception initially (years ago) was terrible. Now, it's great. Have some family who visited who had Verizon. They could not get a call through. Second visit, they had Cingular and had no problem.
