AT&T 0 Out of 5 Phone Model: Sony Ericsson Z525a	Bad or no reception in Eastport. Spotty at best in certain locations. Per previous poster - yes, they will drop roaming charges but if you are caught using your phone in Canada at all, they won't drop them anymore. Useless plan if you venture across the border at all.

Verizon 2 Out of 5 Phone Model: Razr	Had coverage just about everywhere in Eastport and spotty in Lubec. The only problem, Canadian towers grab the phone and the roaming rate kicks in. Good point, I called customer service and told them I had the national plan and as far as my map was concerned Maine was a part of the US. They refunded the roaming charges. I found this tidbit out by talking to Verizon customers in Eastport. They told me that Verizon writes off the roaming charges every month. It's cheaper to pay the Canadians than to put up a tower near Eastport. The cell phone traffic just isn't great enough to warrant the tower. Can you hear me now, EH ( as the Canadians say).
