My phone switches from 3g to the Edge network every 3-4 minutes. Very frustrating when trying to use the internet on the phone or tethering to a laptop. Other than that, it's really not that bad. Always have reception from Brunswick south. Above Brunswick on the coast, it get spotty. Once you get to Sebago / Long lakes going west it gets very spotty. North / West of August / Bangor, good luck. West of Greenville - they stay have pay phones cause you aren't getting a signal.

Near Harbor / Along Shore To Brunswick, Freeport, ME 04032 |

Even with analog available on this phone, reception is nil in and around the harbor in South Freeport, and nearly as bad on lower Flying Point all the way to Brunswick along the shore. This is not the "new" GSM they have been pushing.

Cingular reception on flying point and lower flying point is crap. Avoid this carrier.
