No reception (occasionally Rogers--Canada) at all for Cingular anywhere around Lubec, Eastport, Whiting, Cutler, Machias... in short, anywhere along the coast of Maine between Jonesport and Calais.

We can get weak signal at home, standing on furniture in some rooms. None at all at town hall, etc. None heading to Lubec, but at IGA parking lot we get reception, though lousy. Machias was good till addition of new tower seemed to interfere with phone tower (2-3yrs ago?)-Told its Bangor hydro's tower to read your meters. Calais is spotty, and always hit Canadian towers. They take off calls bounced, but be sure you include area code, cause cacandian towers assume "506" as area code. (So when a stranger ansers your "home phone" dont panic:)..it's just a Canadian:). If you "purposely" call Canada those calls NOT removed..go figure! Don't expect help or sympathy from US cell no matter how many yrs a loyal customer!

No possibility of reception in house. Generally one bar when outside and clear of buildings. Sometimes two bars by moving around to find better reception in approximately 200-feet square area. Reception chancy in most Washington County locations.
