For about 20 miles around Ann Arbor absolutely no signal at all.

Every single call I'm on in my home is dropped. There is one location near a front window I can get a few minutes of conversations but then I lose the call completely. Need a land line :(

Same person who just posted about t-mobil. Friend who has newest iphone with AT&T service has full bars connecting to 3G anywhere in Geddes Lake.

AT&T sucks and they should give a refund to anyone in Ann Arbor who has their so-called service.

Unacceptable that Verizon gets coverage and AT&T does not get coverage in this area on game day. AT&T SUCKS FIX IT. They need to fix it

The reception at my house is pretty bad. I usually have to be in a certain part of the house to get reception. Also, I have periods of time where I can't get a call through and have to re-dial 5-10 times.

Cingular / ATT terrible here. Average of 1 bar, sometime have 3 bars for a few minutes. Often drops to 0 bars and drops my call. Lots of static. People with Verizon come over here and their phones don't seem to work well either.

I was with ATT, received poor reception, but with Cingular I have NO reception EVER!

I need to put aluminum foil on my head to get a signal from Cingular.

I frequently drop calls in this area, which is funny because the Cingular store is right here. My home and office (the two most important places) have mediocre reception. Other parts of the city offer much better reception. I also have a signal booster

Literally half the time my phone gets no reception at all. Talking to people is a perpetual dance of trying to find a signal in my apartment. This phone, and Cingular, are terrible. I have gone to their store and they couldn't provide me with any help at all. Absolute worst phone service on north campus. TERRIBLE

In Loch Alpine, the reception is spotty. Reception comes and goes as you travel along Joy Rd.from Webster Church to Central / Mast Rd, depending on the terrain (tops of hills gets three bars, bottoms no reception at all).

I constantly have calls drop when I am WEST / SOUTH BOUND on M-14 between Barton Dr.and the Main St.exit. For some reason I do not have this issue EAST / NORTH bound. I have friends with Cingular that regularly lose their signal at this area, also. What happens is the signal drops to zero and the call will not disconnect, and locks up the phone. Then the phone does disconnect and close to Maple / Miller Rd.exit it goes back to full strength. Sometimes the phone resets. It is a GSM phone. Have not had dropped calls in this area with my work (Verizon) phone.

Had AT&T service before they were bought out by Cingular. Before the switch to Cingular, I got around 3 bars in my apartment and everything worked great. Ever since Cingular became the provider, everything has changed for the worse. I no longer get ANY reception in my apartment. The phone goes into Roam mode and runs out my battery in a matter of hours. The phone is completely useless in my apartment now. It also Roams all over town, which it never used to do under AT&T. There are many times during the day when I can't even make an outgoing call. I just get an annoying message saying my call can't be completed. Again, I never had this happen back when it was AT&T. AT&T also used to send me warning messages when my account was down to 5 minutes (I use Pay As You Go) and Cingular no longer does this. As a result I've been cut off more than once because my balance has run out without me knowing it. The only reason I didn't give the reception rating a 0 is because I have never had a dropped call. But honestly I attribute that to the reliable Nokia phone, not the provider. I am looking to switch to T-Mobile.

Cingular BARELY works in this area of town

This provider / phone has terrible reception in the Ypsilanti Area. Even if you have a 2-3 bars as soon as you make or get a call your reception drops to nearly zero. It get's spotty reception in Ann Arbor and zero at the WCC campus.

Nextel will actually get decent reception in the hospital, but there are areas on my drive home from work (west past Jackson)... and still on campus that the phone just drops out! I have been with Nextel for over 6 years, from Cass County to Hillsdale County... into Detroit and Ann Arbor most weeks. Now that my phone is broken and I need to replace, I am considering a change in service providers because of the horrible customer service from Nextel! Worst yet is the forwarding of my customer service calls to another county where no one knows what Ann Arbor is!

Great coverage on West side, Central Campus, and Medical School Campus, but terrible on North Campus (just like everyone else). Ocassionally drops calls in Medical School even when I have 5 bars, but I think that has to do with all the interference from scientific equipment.

Ever since Nextel merged with Sprint, the quality of service has been deteriorating, and by now has reached the stage of terrible. The problem might have to do with the incompatibility of the old Nextel system with the Sprint towers? Time to give somebody else our business!

I live right near briarwood off of Eisenhower. I have 3 bars, but calls drop like crazy. Took phone to be repaired many times and still drop calls.
