The reception with Verizon is great, but my data rarely loads while walking through U of M's campus. I have full bars, but the wheel just keeps spinning and spinning and spinning. So unreliable when I actually need data on the go. Please fix this problem throughout the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor campus. (when my data does seem to wrk on campus, it's SLOWER than AT&T's EDGE)

We were on Verizon wireless before we moved into our new house and found once we moved in that we get absolutely no call coverage whatsoever (despite what Verizon wireless' coverage map says). Even with Verizon's $250 signal booster, we don't get a reliable signal (and this is over the course of 3 phones we've tried and used, an HTC Droid Eris, the Blackberry Curve, and a simple LG flip phone). My ATT supplied work iPhone works like a charm.

This area has always been weak on all phones. Occasional dropped calls. Galaxy Nexus drops call every time I drive through here.

I was expecting an extremely important phone call for a phone interview that I was doing. I usually have at least 3 bars outside, and 2 inside, but there was suddenly no reception. I could not receive incoming calls or make outgoing calls. It was not located to that area alone, but remained that way the entire way home for the next 2 hours (at least). The situation is still the same now. I have been a Verizon customer for 6 years now, but will be switching when my contract ends, as I cannot rely on their coverage at crucial times.

Reception is fine (3) for a while, then call drops (0). Switched to Verizon 6 mos ago for better 3G coverage elsewhere in MI that I spend time, but kind of wish I'd stayed with ATT which had improved coverage here at home. ATT used to do the same thing but must have adjusted coverage better into the Landsdown area where I live.

This area has terrible reception. There are cars constantly pulled over at Whitmore Lake Rd because the area west gets terrible for miles.

We get between 1 and 3 bars in Loch Alpine. Neighbors with AT&T get about the same.

I get one bar in the house if I stand near the front door (south). I had Sprint before which was even worse.

We get very poor reception around area of our home. All Verizon guests that we have throughout the year have the same problem... although this chocolate that I have seems to hold the calls the longest than other phones - except Motorola 325 or something similar.

I travel from Ann Arbor to Detroit daily. Calls always drop on M-14 between Ford Rd. and the Wayne County line.

I have never had service this great! Even in the basement of St. Luke where I work (near Glencoe Hills), I still get calls every time. Everyone else gets spotty coverage downstairs. Verizon customer service is probably the best I have ever interacted with in any industry. I just pray that Apple makes a CDMA iPhone. My desire for the iPhone is only eclipsed by the utter lack of reception I had using Cingular.

Horrible reception as soon as you enter any building in the area. Mediocre reception around Ann Arbor, tons of dropped calls and calls going right to voicemail without ringing.

Phone is constantly in Analog mode and by the time I leave the building my battery is almost dead. Not sure if it's the area, phone or battery. No where in the building does the phone work. Works great in the parking lot.

The recpetion on the Treo is never greater than 2 bars. Calls are constantly being dropped and clarity is very low. Many calls go instantly to voice mail.

no problems anywhere in area accept I get a poor reception on the north end of town (Plymouth rd., Pfizer area)

In South University area I get terrible reception. One bar most of the time and no calls will go through. Phone sits on 'calling... '. I have no problems in the rest of Ann Arbor. Service is great outside of south U area. But I spend a lot of time around there... Sigh.

Stood on the corner and friend next to me, with Virgin Moble phone, dialed my Verizon phone. My phone never rang. Even worse, the caller did not get a 'not available' message but it rang like I just didn't answer. A few minutes later (and a few hundred yards down the street) my phone suddenly flashed "One Missed Call." Tried with different Verizon phone with same result.

I purchased Verizon when first moving to campus and returned the phone within a week. They always said that I was roaming while I was in my dorm room in Markley. I switched to Nextel and then Sprint and have had perfect service with both of these companies on campus.

I was able to maintain a signal in the basement, fourth floor, and even in the elevators.

Just completing 2 years with Verizon. Never had a problem anywhere in Ann Arbor, (or Hamburg Twsp. chain of lakes area.) Inside the house I get 4 bars... even on the lower level. Used phone everyday in car as I work in my car all day driving all over the Ann Arbor area. In two years the only problem I've had is 2 dropped calls! My contract expires in two weeks, and I was researching other carriers so that I could get a new phone for free. After reading all of these comments I guess I will stay with Verizon and keep my old phone, or pay out of my own pocket for a new one.

I can not get reception in many areas in Ann Arbor, including U of M campus buildings. Other people get reception in the basement, while my phone is still out of reception on the fourth floor.
