I have service all the time. almost never have a dropped call.I drop across the USA and always had coverage. I have had three friends switch to tmoible from AT&T and Verizon to save. And still have reliable coverage. And T-Mobile has the BEST customer service ratings. If you have bad coverage I would say it might be your phone.

Same person who just posted about t-mobil. Friend who has newest iphone with AT&T service has full bars connecting to 3G anywhere in Geddes Lake.

I have never had service this great! Even in the basement of St. Luke where I work (near Glencoe Hills), I still get calls every time. Everyone else gets spotty coverage downstairs. Verizon customer service is probably the best I have ever interacted with in any industry. I just pray that Apple makes a CDMA iPhone. My desire for the iPhone is only eclipsed by the utter lack of reception I had using Cingular.

I have been using T-Mobile service with this old Samsung phone for 2 years. T-Mobile is actually the only service working in the basement area of Autolab and in EECS building. I wouldn't say T-Mobile is a good service national-wide, but it works better than any other in North Campus.

Very pleased with the reception I get on my Treo 600. I frequently have service when friends with Verizon have no service. One example is in the basement of the Business School where I always have good service but friends frequently have no service.

Best on campus - have NEVER had a problem

I love T-Mobile. Plain and simple. My phone is so cool, I get embarrased to put peoples name in my phone because it's creates an immediate "wow, sweet phone" Oh and the reception is awesome.

I'm very impressed with T-Mobile's reception in my office here on North Campus, I switched from Sprint PCS which had fairly low reception in this area.

Overall reception is pretty good all over Ann Arbor. I have not tried basement in North Campus so not sure about that but inside Media Union it works fine. Also when I was in Central, it didn't work inside a building away from windows. Otherwise it's great!

This is for the University of Michigan, at Ann Arbor. I believe the sprint antenna is on UTowers, so anything around there is pretty good. Inside buildings are pretty bad. Any basement is non-existent reception. North Campus is also pretty bad, and most buildings can't get reception. However, at home my reception is perfect, which is why I give this rating a 5.

Sprint is great around UMich central campus. Probably due to the tower strapped to the side of UTowers.

Usually have 6 bars (out of 7), call quality is good, I've been with them for 7 years, no complaints - works well in other areas of Ann Arbor (Medical center, North campus).

Nextel will actually get decent reception in the hospital, but there are areas on my drive home from work (west past Jackson)... and still on campus that the phone just drops out! I have been with Nextel for over 6 years, from Cass County to Hillsdale County... into Detroit and Ann Arbor most weeks. Now that my phone is broken and I need to replace, I am considering a change in service providers because of the horrible customer service from Nextel! Worst yet is the forwarding of my customer service calls to another county where no one knows what Ann Arbor is!

never am I without service unless I am in a basement on central campus. Good Service

A year ago I switched to T-Mobile from Verizon just because I felt like it. Verizon works decently all over campus, but reception in the libraries, basements, middle of buildings, etc is very limited. T-Mobile is great everywhere. I get 3 or 4 bars inside both the undergrad and engineering libraries, in the basement of my house, and pretty much every university building. I highly recommend T-Mobile for this area.

I live near Pioneer HS and work over in Avis Farms (near A2 Airport off State Road). I can't remember the last time I had a call dropped. My reception is almost flawless.

Great coverage on West side, Central Campus, and Medical School Campus, but terrible on North Campus (just like everyone else). Ocassionally drops calls in Medical School even when I have 5 bars, but I think that has to do with all the interference from scientific equipment.

I get better reception in Ann Arbor with my Sprint service than I've ever gotten in another city.

Except in basement of buildings, good coverage (which is via Sprint) everywhere at work, and all other parts of town.

no problems anywhere in area accept I get a poor reception on the north end of town (Plymouth rd., Pfizer area)
