Alltel works perfect inside the Bay City Mall.

Purchased my Verizon about 8 months ago, and i've never had any problem with droping calls, fading, echoing, or error messages, Now that they are using the new network, you can in a sense roam (extended Network) on other carriers towers and still have a good signal, I would recommend Verizon To Anyone.

Get alot of calls that have poor reception ex. echoing, clicking noises, dropped calls, to many error codes to even remember. It is really very sad when you work in a building that has signal amplifieres and you still drop calls. I have heard from more than half of Bay City (in the business that I am in) that they are very dissapointed at how terrible the service has become. Getting very irretated with this service.

Switched to Cingular from Verizon about a year ago and have been very satisfied. Live in Midland and work in Bay City and get great reception in both cities. When I take Salzburg Rd, there is a hole where reception is spotty between Mackinaw Rd and Garfield Rd. On the highway it is 5 bars all the way. Just a note, I rent space to a girl with a cell phone kiosk. I've heard from numerous elderly people that they were charged (and paid) for their Verizon phones at the end of their contracts. That's why the switch.

Alright signal... but the ALL CIRCUITS ARE BUSY message gets annoying!

Although I get perfect reception there is no service in this area. This problem started three weeks ago. I have contacted Alltel and complained about this problem without any satisfaction. I have been given a lot of excuses about why this problem exist but no solutions on how the problem will be fixed.

I get good reception all-around, unless I'm in the basements of particular houses. The 4900 allows me to make calls from basements that I wasn't able to make with other older models. Sprint is great for "populated" urban places...I frequently visit family in Chesaning and I get absolutely NO service out there!
