Feels like Im on the moon. We have a problem. Who has a phone that works if there is trouble? I travel alone and dont have service unless Im able to drive all the way to Gladwin. Have to come up with something better folks, in the mean, Im investing in a mega phone.

Ever since the merge with Alltel and Verizon, Alltel has taken a 50 to 75 % turn for the worst. Thanks for nothing Verizon. How about taking my bill down too? Didn't think so! Layne Mercer, long time mobile user but not much longer for Verizon ! Does any mobile phone work well in Gladwin County?

I used to have Alltel which got full service at my house. I switched to Sprint for a family plan and I get 3-4 bars at my house. I work in gladwin and have fantastic signal there whereas my allte would always lose calls. My phone switches quickly back and forth from Sprint to roaming so I almost always have service. I can even use my phone on wixom lake which is were many cellphones cannot be used. Sprints coverage around the area seems to be getting much better!

There is no cell phone that you can COUNT on in this area!

Undependable service in Beaverton, Albright shores and Northern Midland County!

Sometimes it rings and sometimes it doesn't! Undependable - depending where you are.

Reception is better than some, yet still is UNDEPENDABLE - No Service North of Bombay (Midland County) - Voicemail is also undependable - sometimes it takes 10 rings before my voicemail will pick up.

Verizon does a horrible job in the Wixom lake area... no signal. will change service when contract is up.

No reception inside house. Occasionallly get a bar outside. Had to get a land line. Can't wait for contract to expire.

Very spotty reception. Better when there aren't any leaves on the trees

Maybe Alltel just put a new tower here or something. There reception went from spotty to superb in a matter of a few months. Makes me a one happy customer :)

Alltel Just installed new tower on Knox Rd. excellent service in Beaverton area now

Verizon has improved signal at my house in the last few months. I am on Verizon now most of the time instead of extended network which is Alltel.

We recently switched from Nextel to Alltel and so far we are happy. Before we never could use our phones at home now we can I will say in the house we only have one bar but outside we have at least 2. And any Nextel user in our area knows in this rural setting 2 is good. We have heard a rumor from 2 seperate sorces about a new tower going up on lang rd in March 2007. I will keep my fingers crossed! But so far we are much happier with the Alltel then nextel.

No reception. Have to drive 5 miles East to get any type of signal. No towers near except a radio station owned. Had to get land line despite only living here part time. Wish Verizon would get some cells in this area and more near Mt. Pleasant. Very disappointing.

Cannot receive or place calls from home.

after watching everyone else seems like I have real good service with cellular one besides I dont have to put a hanger in my butt so thats good I recommend them, just dont use a Motorola my Nokia works so much better

I had this service before moving out here recently, but before purchasing I asked to make sure service was good in this area. I was asured it was, and would not have any problems. Boy, they were so wrong... . I never have service. But when I do, Its way out of the cities limit. I will never get Nextell again.

I am a Verizon customer. Verizon goes thru Alltel in this area. When I first got the phone in August it worked very well. Starting in October Alltel has been down a lot and I cannot depend on the cell to make long distance calls.
