If I may. I have a prepaid phone by centennial or one by tracfone. And they both work great in the Benton Harbor and Bentonship areas and out of state too. I don't know where there towers are, but it seems the prepaid phones work better in country settings and out of the places.

If you live near the airport don't buy the LG c2000. It has bad reception, or none at all. I drops calls or calls won't go through. My phone is from Cingular and they have only one tower on main street Benton Harbor. If I'm in local Benton Harbor reception is fine. But returning to Benton Township ( which is between Benton Harbor, Rocky Gap, millburg and covert etc.) very bad reception. Please make sure your carrier has more than one tower in the location before buying. I wished that I had found this web-site before getting my cell phone. No doubt I'm cancelling my contract and going for better reception (whoever has the most towers in my area and places I travel)

Sometimes I was able to get a signal on Sylvan but it cut out before the other person answered. On Rocky Gap, no signal was present. Interestingly enough, I could dial T-Mobile's 611 help line and got great reception. Was advised by T-Mobile to go with another provider because a different phone wouldn't improve my reception.
