Only been in the area about 12 months. When we first moved here, cell reception with Verizon was Avg to Below Avg. I don't know if they added a tower or what, but I would say over the last 5 months service has been very good... even from our basement. Basement: 3 out of 10 calls are poor (or possible dropped) Most calls rate average to slightly above. 1st floor of house: 0 out of 10 calls are poor (never had a drop on either phone) 2 floor and out of house: 0 out of 10 calls are poor (never had a drop on either phone). Driving around from Green Oak Township up to Old 23 and M-59 (Hartland area) signal is good. Going north of M-59 signal starts to drop to Average to Below Average.

Always have problems. Even right off 96. Was a little better after the change (Sprint), but still bad service, always dropping calls and low signals. Never offered anything to stay after being a customer for 7 years...

I've had Verizon for about 10 years and service has always been bad at my home. It works great just about everywhere else I go. I'd like to ditch my landline but can't because my cellphone only works about 1 / 2 the time at my house. I've been hoping Verizon would install a new tower to fix this dead spot but I'm losing hope. I've been holding off buying a new phone hoping to find something that works at my house. No luck so far. I sure wish Verizon would install a new tower to fix this dead spot in Green Oak Township, MI.

Reception is excellent and this is a HEAVILY WOODED area with many hills.

No Problems at all.Even driving to the renaissance festival driving back roads,I never lose service.

I live on the west side of the GM Proving Grounds and I usually only have 1 cell in my house and sometimes I have none. I have to go outside or stand in a certain spot in my kitchen to talk on the phone. Not only do I not have "cells" I usually have "no service" in stores. We were in Niagara Falls and had "no service" and was lost on the way home and could not call the place we were looking for to get better directions. I would never use Sprint again, hated it since day one when I brought it home and was dropped 2 times that night! Used to have Verizon, will be going back.

I've had this phone for some two years now and have had almost no problems. I've never dropped calls and only rarely had messages pop up in voice mail without the phone ringing. The only place I've really had trouble is in Meijers there's a couple places where signal shifts. But, in Dexter, it's another matter. I cannot get a signal past Mast Rd.and N. Territorial. This was the same with my old Verizon phone, too. I think it's a tower thing.

In the last 6 months, Nextel service in the Brighton area has become awful. Dropped phone calls, incoming calls going directly to voice mail, little or no Direct Connect service anywhere in the area, 2 / 3 of the time. Nextel says they're going to put up some more towers, but they don't say when. They sure let you know when the monthly bill's due, though.
