Reception in this area is spotty. Towers are too far apart to work well here. It is a rural area though. Texting works pretty good, cannot hold a call very well.

Dropped calls all the time at home and in the driveway... can drive down the road and get a signal but lately service has been worse driving between Rockford / Cedar springs area and Grand Rapids. Verizon needs to improve service and add towers.

Verizon is horrible, I wish Alltel had bought Verizon because then I would still have Service. " Can you hear me now?" Now, I know how they came up with their slogon. Because I find myself saying it all the time. Not to mention their customer service is terrible too.

Reception with Alltel is almost always perfect when driving around BUT, we have a long driveway. Outside home 1-2 bars, inside house 0-1 bars... ..not good. We are looking into a signal booster. $300, ouch! Don't know what else to do. We've called provider and they say there's nothing they can do.

I like Alltel a lot. Works in most locations I travel to. I have had Nextel in the home I live in now and it was terrible Verizon was worse (I had Ver. for a week). I switched to Alltel and will never go back to the others. It is spotty in some areas such as Long Lake and 17 Mile, along 20 Mile Between Red Pine and Algoma (mostly in the low lying areas of the road), and near Lime Lake (none of my phones work well there while passing by. When I am in Grand Rapids it works flawlessly and I rarely have a problem.

Reception is ok outside. 2 or 3 towers out of 5. 1 or 0 inside. Need to walk around inside to find reception. I had Verizon for 12 years and will go back to them when I am done with this.
