I have had Verizon since I got my first Cell Phone back in 1996. I have always thought they had good reception and good service. However I just recently moved to Charlotte and found that there reception here is very poor. And it gets even worse as you head south down I69. I work in the Southwest corner of MI and the reception sucks! I think I may have to find a new carrier. I have heard some good things about Alltel around this area.

I am not happy with the reception that I get out of my phone. It always goes from digital to analog, and I constantly loose calls. I'm not sure if it is my phone or service provider, but it is not "up to par". My girlfriend has Alltel and she loves it. She gets a signal anywere she goes. I think I am going to switch providers!

Had to go to 2nd floor or go outside to make calls.

Vriizon service a lot of dropped calls. Can make calls OK but receiving is the trouble.

This is based on being indoors. Outside I bounce between 5 and none. I think part of it has to do with being in a trailer park, part of it due to being near the airport. Other than this, Nextel ROCKS! I'm quite happy with service.

We have national plan and don't have much problem except can NEVER get signal around Duck Lake / Springport 49284 area, and it's iffy around the Vermontville 49096 area too. Duck Lake is about 10 miles from me and you can't 2way anyone there... but we have talked to California, Arizonia, Florida,etc on them! How about some coverage around Springport and Vermontville, people?

Great reception if you live within 10 miles of any Major Hwy.
