Get one bar inside the house, two bars outside. Calls drop frequently and there are totally dead spots in the area.

With a Wirless Extender and the antenea on the roof and base unit on the first floor I can now get 4 bars in the house even with the terrain my farm is located. Switched from Nextel to Cingular (which is now AT&T) and have never looked back. Due to the outlying area which can be a little hilly, reception out in the field can vary but better than Verizion which I tried for a week and T-Mobile which did not even reconize the phone. Choices can be limited but with some amplifiers can be tolerable.

Get 4-5 bars in front yard (towards Chelsea) but only 2-3 in back yard (towards Saline). I'm equal distant between Austin Rd (Manchester) tower and Cheslea tower at I-94 and M-52, but that one appears storngest.

Reception very poor of not at all most of the time. As of 6 / 26 / 2006, a new tower is being erected 2 miles north of Boyce Rd on M-52. Not sure which carriers will be using this tower.

How the phone company can get away with charging consumers for non delivery of service continues to boggle my mind. Verizon Wireless absolutely stinks in this area. They sold me an upgrade phone that doesn't do anything more than the one that came with the plan. The service flops into voicemail with messages getting posted 3 days after the call. Reception is slim to nonexistent. Consider yourself forwarned if you are in this area regarding Verizon. I would love to see the government come down on this utility for scamming the public.

i was told Cingular was putting up some new towers in my area in fact I was told they were up and had not been turned on yes late summer I was told hope they do it soon :]

No reception at my house and very spotty in the area. I travel to Farmington Hills to work and reception is hit or miss west of South Lyon. Looking for better.
