I used to get good signal in my house, now I have to step outside it because I can't even talk on my cell phone without it chopping up on me. It's not a big deal to go outside and use it, but in the winter time it won't be so easy. Ever since the name change from Cingular to AT&T my coverage has degrated down. I just don't understand how it can degrate. The only major area is my house. They claim that have all these towers, but on this website I couldn't locate a Cingular wireless tower for miles and when I finally did, it was so far away from my house. Yet they want to claim that they have one within a half mile of my house.

Cingular in Macomb, Wayne and Oakland County reception is very poor except in sporadic locations. Main problem is dropped calls, no call completion to other Cingular customers, poor call quality. Average drops per call is 2-3 on I-94 from Ypsilanti to macomb county. They don't have enough antennas installed to function with newer GSM digital format which is highly line of sight sensitive needing more antennas closer together. Call quality is better than older TDMA formats, but, who cares about clarity if you can't even complete a call. Cingular will send out other crappy phones if you complain but that doesn't fix the problem. The old Cingular format with my old Nokia used to work in the middle of the deer woods miles from town and now will not even dial a call in mid michigan.

You would think Nextel would have service on M-59... numerours amount of dropped calls... lots of static..and no signals. I thought them merging with Sprint would help... .Now Sprint if offering to move all my phones (16) for free and give me new phones... sounds to good to be true... from what I am gathering Sprint is not much better..How can service be so horriable and they still can charge you with cancellation fees..when they have not lived up to there end of good service... .

Can't connect to calls, drops calls when it does connect, static, the good old dreaded tunnel effect. Wow, seems like Sprint has managed to move straight back to the 90's. I am so happy to have sprint's wonderful paperweight.

Calls drop off continually. Best reception is when in orbit next to telecommunication satellite! Meanwhile back on Earth, if there is a cloud in the sky, calls will drop off. And Sprint calls that service!

Not great- text messages are always late. My phone needs to be outside the car window to get reception. Better than Sprint and AT&T. Try Verizon, they have the best coverage and prices.

Well I have had this phone for about 8 months and just recently moved from Detroit to Clinton Township. My service has been great infact the customer service is great but being in my new apartment has made me think twice about my service. My text messages come late as well as my voicemail messages. Maybe they are having issues with the network at the moment. Cell phones kinda suck anyways whether it be nextel, alltel, sprint, T-mobile, yadda, and yadda.
