I used to get good signal in my house, now I have to step outside it because I can't even talk on my cell phone without it chopping up on me. It's not a big deal to go outside and use it, but in the winter time it won't be so easy. Ever since the name change from Cingular to AT&T my coverage has degrated down. I just don't understand how it can degrate. The only major area is my house. They claim that have all these towers, but on this website I couldn't locate a Cingular wireless tower for miles and when I finally did, it was so far away from my house. Yet they want to claim that they have one within a half mile of my house.

Cingular in Macomb, Wayne and Oakland County reception is very poor except in sporadic locations. Main problem is dropped calls, no call completion to other Cingular customers, poor call quality. Average drops per call is 2-3 on I-94 from Ypsilanti to macomb county. They don't have enough antennas installed to function with newer GSM digital format which is highly line of sight sensitive needing more antennas closer together. Call quality is better than older TDMA formats, but, who cares about clarity if you can't even complete a call. Cingular will send out other crappy phones if you complain but that doesn't fix the problem. The old Cingular format with my old Nokia used to work in the middle of the deer woods miles from town and now will not even dial a call in mid michigan.
