We have 33 acres on the Middle Branch and Muskegon Rivers. Nextel is the only phone that will work well in this area. We have not had any problems with Nextel. I have thought about switching service due to better phones / plans etc but Nextel has the best service for us here. Verizon will ring but no connection when you pick up. AT&T seems to work OK, not great.

The reception is very poor at our business, home and cottage, locatated in Lake, MI. I purchased a Z-Boost and would like to know which way to aim it in the Evart Area. Thanks, Dave

May as well go outside and scream, reception would be just as good.

Sprint and Nextel have worked the best in our location. Switched to Verizon against my will (not my choice) and now don't have any service where I once had good to great service. I can't even trust Verizon's service in my home location down state (Holland / Zeeland) area. Not too often do I have 4 reception bars.

We have 80 acres and a cabin 2 miles northeast of Evart MI. Reception is marginal at best, and requires moving to specific location outdoors or near a window and holding the phone just right. I would entertain a proposal to build a tower on this site, which has a decent elevation.

Sometimes can get a signal when on the boat out in the middle of the lake, otherwise nothing.

When ATT&T took over we thought reception would improve. NOT. We still the got the occassional 1 bar reception if you luckily held phone just right. Otherwise, no reception. Inside our trailer definitely no bars. Invested in 3" magna-mount antenna (mounted on fridge metal vent cover and ran through window--aluminum roof doesn't do it). We now get 3-4 bars connected to antenna, but phone's not portable now. Better than nothing, I guess.

At&T told me I could make calls, however I have "NO BARS", where I live (Water Front Lot" and can't make any 911 calls. Had a major problem and had to drive 3 miles to 90th and Big Stone Lake Rd.to make a 911 call. Got 3 bars there... . My friend was luckly he came out ok,not thanks to AT&T. Can't wait to dump AT&T, got one year togo... ... ..

May get one bar if weather is just right. Can't receive or make any calls. Now have to get a hard-line phone service just for the 911 calls. Also,now looking for a cel-service that covers my area. ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint don't work eighter. Don't know about Mobiledia??

I'm on a 1 acre lake front lot (large Lake), W / Year round home. Got good cel-phone reception with Cinqular, but switch Oct.2005 to "VERIZON" and lost all reception. Sometimes I get one (1) bar. If I needed to make a "911" call I have to drive to somewhere on 90th mile Rd. Can't wait till Oct. 2007 to get another cel-phone carrier who works in my area. Still looking... . P.S. Verizon works great around Livonia, Mich.
