Keep in mind that you all are using a WIRELESS service. You're bound to have dropped calls anywhere you go and with any carrier you have. I personally have had 2 dropped calls in the past year that i've been with Sprint. But that was because I was inside a building where signal wasn't strong enough.

With Verizon I seriously have never had a dropped call or anything funky happen. The best part about Verizon is all of a sudden last summer I have reception in Gladwin, MI, and I also have it in Baldwin, MI. All of my up north signals have been from an extended network but still its at least 4 bars and I can talk and recieve calls with no problem. I don't travel around metropolitan Detroit a lot but I haven't had any dead spots that I can now recall ever. I was kind of dissappointed when I would go into a large store and have no signal. I was good stuff to split with my fiance and call her in the store to meet up again. Nope nope not with Verizon, I had that ability with Sprint. My contract with Verizon is up soon and I am thinking about going to Sprint just because of 2 new phones, cheaper service, and more to offer with the flexible plan. After reading all of these postings I'm wondering about staying with Verizon because it works up north quite well. Don't fix something that isn't broken, eh?

I have good reception all around, although I always hit the dead spot on Hines between Inkster and Middlebelt. Other than that, I'll usually get 3-4 bars.

Whatever you do, make sure you don't have to make an important call here! You'll lose it in no time! Unless you're in the outer parking lots, you ain't gettin' CRAP for a signal!

Very poor coverage for the area. I have to sit by my living room window to have any chance at a signal. GSM is horrible, full bars once second, nothing the next. Tired of big montly bills, going to prepaid phone and going to eat the $150 early termination fee.
