I've tried -T-moblie (worst), -AT&T (Poor near home, but not indoors, and spotty away from major Express ways) -Nextel (Spotty, fair near home, not indoors) -Verizon (Best reception at home, but tried 5 phones before trying Motorola Startac, Which they will not cover anymore, because it is not GPS capable) -I Have Alltel now, it has the the best coverage including the U.P. I tried 4 phones before trying the LG Lx5450. It is spotty inside the house, but is better than most. I set up my son a Motorola V262, it actually works inside, It even shows 2 bars, when my contract expires I will be changing to all V262s.

Excellent reception in my 2nd level apartment (wife has NexTel and gets dropped calls). The only spot I've ever had dropped calls between metro Grand Rapids and Hastings is the M-37 / M-43 interchange for only a quarter mile or so. I get great reception inside malls, buildings in Grand Rapids.

I get no reception until I drive a good 4 blocks or more down the road. It's enough to make me sell the house or change my carrier. So far my only phone that works is an old old Nokia on T-Mobile and it is spotty.

Not only does our street tend to be a dead zone, I am now having trouble up and down Cascade Rd. This is ridiculous!

Hey guys I just came back for a visit from Philly and I am completely shocked that with my iPhone 3GS I literally get the 1-2 bars tops! Maybe it's my phone I don't know I've reset it over a dozen times and it's still only 1 bar. Ive dropped 6 calls so far and Ive been here less than 24 hrs. Maybe AT&T just doesn't have good service here. Like I said before it could be just my phone too. Also I would like to add that I live fairly close(less than 1 mile from I96) and on the highway it doest get better coverage

Sometimes it is good but most of the time I am at 1 bar or no signal. It really depends were I am on campus.

Reception seems to have gotten a lot worse in the last month (June, 2009). Don't know what the problem is, but since it used to be better, I suspect a network problem more than a tower problem.
