I have no service inside the house most of the time, and barely service outside the house. I assume it is because of so many trees and being close to the water, but service should not be that bad. I did have better signal with Verizon than I did with AT&T. At the intersection of Crocker and Metro Pkwy. I have 5 bars, but at most 2 bars on my street.

The AT&T coverage map shows that this is a low area. That is right. Inside, I have only a few spots where the phone works. Outside, it is tolerable. Part of the problem is poor network engineering. I have adequate signal strength, but calls will just disappear as additional subscribers come on line.

I always have to go outside my house to use my phone. There is never more than 1 bar at any given time. I have more dropped calls than I care to mention. Once I leave the area, service is fine. Once my contract expires, I will be switching from Verizon; although, I hate to give up their exceptional customer service.

Switched to Sprint after 5 different phones with ATT / Cingular. I'd drop almost every call If I had reception at all with Cingular. Sprint has been very reliable with very few dropped calls and I can even talk in my basement. Could never get a signal in my basement with Cingular. It seems the closer you get to the water, the worse Cingular is.

Very good coverage at our house and anywhere in the Detroit Metro area! I will usually get full signal in my basement! One thing to note though coverage does get worse as you get closer to the lake (you get too far from the tower). Around South River and Hammon (just a couple of miles from my house) signal is horrible, one bar or no service! This is just a small bad area. Other than that service is excellent!

I get maybe one bar in the house and I lose the signal all together in the basement. Reception around the area is hit and miss.

My entire family is on ATT Wireless, and not one of our phones will recieve at our cottage up north. Persons with Cingular cannot recieve either. It is a rural area, with many wooded areas. Do not rely on a cell if you travel to this area frequently.
