My Evo variates between 0 and 3 bars as I walk around the house, yet even with 0 bar reception I still can use voice and data with no issues. 4G isn't available in all of Michigan as I have seen, but the 3G network works fine indoors or out. My wife has the LG Rumor Touch and only gets 0-1 bars indoors and has issues at times with voice communications. Still though, for as small a town Harrison is, decent service! I've noticed though that reception runs along 127 so if you venture off in the woods in either direction you're on your own.

Coverage is only good if you are within one mile of the expressway in Harrison. Also, there are dead spots on the north and south part of town. No 3G, only in Mt Pleasant, 30 miles to the south.

Sprint has over the past 18 months dropped our area from dark green (great coverage)to very light green(little to no coverage)on the coverage map. I dropped using their broadband card because of this and might have to drop their services altogether in the future.

Local dealer assured us 2 years ago that Cellular1 was going to vastly improve spotty GSM service available. Six months ago, they installed antennae on top of the water tower 1 / 4 mile from my house and now I get nearly nothing. It seems that the signal from the water tower 'steps' on the signal from the stil existing 'roaming' tower, thereby blocking both in my area. After repeated calls to C1 thay have now re-identified my neighborhood as a 'known dead spot'.

Incredibly low signal strength. Must have a 3 watt transceiver. Little toy hand held pocket phones are totally useless. No tower nearby to my knowledge. Have offered a tower spot on our land but they don't take us up on it. This is a big recreation area year round.
