M-59 Hickory Hills Sub Between Latson and Oak Grov, Howell, MI 48843 |
Mon Jun 13, 2011 |
My zip code is actually 48855, but this site told me it was invalid. I live in Hickory Hills Sub off M-59 in Howell. I can be sitting still in my house and be on a phone call and get dropped every 2 minutes. Sometimes I have no coverage at all. The area where I am on their map coverage is spotty, but so is Virgin Mobile (Sprint Network), which is the phone my husband has and he always has more bars than me, and he's never had a dropped call. I'm switching to Virgin next month. Goodbye T-Mobile Also I always get dropped calls while driving down Latson Rd.by the Oceola Township Hall, and always get dropped calls while on I-96 around Dorr Road.

nearly impossible to hold a call inside my home. if I do happen to get a call through, I constantly get dropped calls or the call cuts in and out. outside my home is a little better, but it's still hit or miss in this whole neighborhood... .

Sprint (PCS) reception stinks. Nextel (IDEN) is great. Verizon is great. Just switched from Nextel to Sprint network, and am completely disgusted. My work phone is Verizon, and we get 5 bars in the same house we get 1 to no bars for Sprint. Looks like we're sending the (new) Sprint phones back to Sprint (30 day eval period) and going to Verizon for our personal phones. Sprint, if you want customers to stay, get your act together...

Was on AT&T. Had a tower 1 mile away beside our township hall. When Cingular took over they shut down that tower and I went from 5 bars to 1. They shouldn't be allowed to do that! Called customer service several times to complain but all they would say was that they showed that I should have coverage in my area. The fact that my family had 5 Cingular phones with almost no coverage doesn't seem to matter. Now they are the "New" AT&T (lower case, it matters!) but I bet they won't put that tower back in service.

I live in the area that no cell company has very good coverage, AT&T wireless was pretty good, and then Cingular. Currently (8 / 06) Cingular has one of the towers shut down ( suposedly for integration, been 7 wks now) which has killed reception near me. Verizon just put up new site at the County Black Hole, Chilson and Brighton Rd. This is 2006, cell coverage should be much better than it is off the beaten path. If you don't live in the city or travel the eway +- 3 miles either side, cell service is pretty much a crap shoot. Some day some company will get it together.

Terrible reception from T-Mobile in my new area in Howell---basically non-existent reception. Every time I actually receive a call, I have to move far outside my home---I will change networks in the next few days---I can't accept this sort of service.

Perfect service. I live on the ground level of a 3 story building and have never lost service. Furthermore, I have never had any service loss anywhere in Howell. I do keep up with Verizon's "over the air" software updates monthly, which does improve service.

Works pretty good in Cohoctah. Important because that's where I live. I also use it on the job and have used it all over the greater Detroit area with good success. Many less problems with reception than Nextel, who I was with for 5 years. Still not perfect. I don't think any are if you travel out of the city.
