I hate this service! I get no bars on any of our phones in the house at all it drops calls left and right. My husband can go outside and talk ob his for a few mintues before he loses signal or the call ends (doent always say call dropped or lost, just hangs up ) They sent me a rave that I had to hook to my internet broadband so I get full bars in the house now but still quality of phone reception is still horrible. I still have problems with my phone (i like to talk more versues just texting) with receiving calls it goes straight to my voice mail, and if I leave my home forget it the bars are gone. I drop calls in town in jonesville, in walmart parking lot I have to try three times before I can get a call to connect. Customer service at this place has been a joke. I actually have filed a complaint with the BBB. I pay almost 200.00 a month and I have had enough, been told they are working on fixing the problem for months. I was just talking to another Sprint customer and wow guess what we are disconnected... with the rave at my house and her in jonesville in town..

Sprint's entire network out here is EVDO, and they keep adding towers. Jonesville, Jackson, Hillsdale, etc all have EVDO Rev A service for mobile broadband. Finally get 2-4 bars at home, but even with 1 bar, calls are crystal clear. I'm very impressed with their service now. Be sure not to get a tri-mode phone, as analog will be sure to ruin your experience with Sprint. Seeing about 1mbit download and 800kbit upload with their mobile broadband. Most people I call are Sprint customers and count as mobile-to-mobile calls, so I don't use a plan with tons of minutes. Decent prices, good coverage, but very poor customer service.

Ok, so I'm in the market for my second phone plan and I'm deciding between sticking with Alltel or switching to T-Mobile or Cingular. I get about average reception in my house with an occassional dropped call. In other places in Jonesville I've never had a problem; Hillsdale seems to be fine also. North Adams is very sketchy, 2 bars at the best. I go to school in Ann Arbor and I get good reception up there too. The only place I've ever had trouble is on the outskirts of Jonesville on my way to Jackson. I don't get much of any reception around Pulaski and Spring Arbor / Concord is sketchy. I'm pretty sure that Alltel roams off of Verizon in Ann Arbor, so pay attention to those reviews. Overall, I'd say I don't have any real complaints with Alltel. Guess I might as well stick with what I've had... I think.
