I can only get enough reception to use my phone if I go in the backyard behind the shed. It's not the ideal talking location for me. Reception varies throughout the Kalamazoo / Portage area, but is never good. Customer service is great, but it kind of defeats itself to have good customer service if you can't use the phone. Basically, Sprint sucks.

I always get good reception on my personal Motorola i835 with Boost Network from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids and to Zeeland. But I suffer universally poorer reception, sometimes no reception, on the Samsung SGH-a437 with AT&T issued to me by my employer.

Constant dropped calls. A maximium of 2 bars. an average of one bar. digital roaming kicks in 50% of the time. It is very frustrating to get dropped at my own house.

I work in a regular office building and get zero reception at my desk. I have to go outside to make calls on my cell phone, and check my voice messages via my desk phone, with my cell phone sitting right on my desk. Frustrating. Also, traveling along Kilgore heading east is very poor reception. Just as a side note, along 68th Street, between Kalamazoo and Division up in Cutlerville / Kentwood area, I dropped a call three times within a matter of minutes.

Coverage goes in and out randomly, but overall get good service in any area of Kzoo, espesially WMU area.

3-5 bars outdoors 0-1 bars indoors had T-Mobile previously, worked indoors, even in the basement!

This is the best service I have ever had. I had boost mobile and it usually got 0 or 1 bar. T mobile had about the same as boost. Atell was not bad tho.

Altell took over simple freedom- With simple freedom I could call from anywhere without any problems. Never had a dropped call, since Altell took over I have had nothing but problems. I can't call from downtown or from the hospitals to home 3 miles away. Get messages to press 1 and the 10 digit number followed by pound sign. I do this and it saya can't make the call. when calling costumer sevices they say if it happens call them from another phone and they will fix it. No good if on the raod. Even after they fix it this only works for a call or 2. If I leave the kalamazoo area, its anybody's guess if I will have service or not. I am counting the minutes till I can change providers.

I've been with T-Mobile for 2 years now (simply because of a contract). I've contacted them nermous times because of my signal, and have been VERY unseccessful in getting ANY help. They keep telling me that they are "trying" to get towers in my area. Well I know for one person that they aren't going to add another tower. The closest one is like 15 miles from me, which they tell me I should have some sort of signal. Well I don't. I am currently looking for a new provider, and am comparing rates and so on.

For some reason everytime you drive down this 1 mile piece of road you get no reception... . ever!
