We only get occasional signals if we go down to the very edge of Lake Huron and stand on the right rock. No reception at all at our cabin in Surf Park. This entire stretch along US-23 is a dead zone. You can get a weak signal at the Hammond Bay Harbor facility. We tried a signal booster but it didn't work.

Sprint (iPCS) finally put up decent signal around Onaway / Millersburg / Rogers City and vicinity (Black Lake, Ocqueoc Lake, etc). Both Nextel / Sprint seem to have similar performance. Receive at least 2-3 bars even in remote locations. 1 mile stretch blackout near Hoeft State park along US-23 near Rogers City. Otherwise full service. This is full PCS. No info on RTT or EVDO coverage yet. Sprint maps as of this writing do not indicate service here. Other areas can go in and out, but still receive Digital Roaming. On Sprint, this is no big deal as they offer free roaming on all plans.
