Nextel 0 Out of 5 Phone Model: Blackberry 7510	There is no Nextel reception in Fairview. I live in Alger and travel to Alpena once in a while. When I get north of Rose City on M-33 I lose my Nextel signal, and don't get it back until I hit the intersection of M-33 and M-32. There is a Nextel tower in Atlanta, Hillman and Johannesburg. There is also one by the intersection of M-32 and M-65 so you will get coverage there. If you are looking to stay towards Curran, Fairview or Mio, look at Alltel.

Verizon 1 Out of 5 Phone Model: LG ENV	My rating is at my cabin which is very close to the Huron National Forest and the Au Sable River... lots of trees. Text messages sometimes go through, but normally my phone just searches for service. However, cell phone reception is sometimes possible at night. Out on the main road, in a high place we have cell phone coverage. More reliable the closer we get to Mio.
