in and out horrible reception less than a mile from tower

I researched a ton of blogs and found that Nextel's 2nd from bottom phone, the I265, is the best reception of all their phones and one of the better battery life phones. It is old school looking and not winning any beauty pageants, but it makes and receives calls way better than their $300-500 phones I used to use. We are getting Iphones soon, so I will compare to ATT later... .

not great service overall. but great along the lake shore. not so much at the lakeshore tho

I have had Alltel for almost 3 years since leaving Verizon. It is nearly perfect anywhere we go, with a weak signal area when traveling somewhere in Kentucky or Tennessee our only complaint. Love it!

stay away from alltel. service is like a crap shoot.

Average signal with Alltel service. No drops noted as of yet. Superior to the Sprint service I formerly had at this location (where there'd be 1 or 2 bars and drops).

Excellent service everywhere in Muskegon.

Little to no service in most of the area around here. Anywhere towards the lake will give you poor service and don't even think about making a call indoors most of the time.

Verizon does not live up to their hype on the lakeshore. Their signal keeps switching between local and Wisconsin becuse neither is of enough strenght to hold a call. Their customer service is no help and they won't put a antenna on Nextels new tower on Giles road despite every other carrier taking an application to do so. They're history for me as soon as my contract is up!

Limited reception in my kitchen. Few complaints around town. The older my phone gets, the more dropped calls I get. No service at the beach (like everyone else)
