I talked to AT&T several times since my last post. They now say the new towers will be constructed the first week of October. Even though I get no reception in the main area I want the phone to work, they offer no help. I confirmed with them my contract is up the second week of October. I'm thinking the coverage will not be improved in three weeks. They don't seem too concerned that I may leave them over this. Looks like it's time to try Verizon (Looks like great coverage in my area).

I get a lot of Serching for Network when I try and make calls or email. It also just says Called Failed when I try to call out and doesn't send email. Poor signal in the house or even the yard, calls break up. Internet on phone is extremely slow and painful to use. This is my third Blackberry so I know it is not just one model. My wife has a Razr which seems to work a little better but it has most of the same issues. When you call AT&T to let them know there are service issues they just go into some long detailed speech and want you to track all your calls. Like all the Cell phone companies they assume you are just trying to get out of your contract and don't want to admit they have poor service.

No signal inside the front door, and no signal most of the time outside. Unfortunately thats where I am when I get those "add this to the list" calls from my wife. Live nearby and signal is 1-2 bars usually. AT&T told my 4 new towers are going up by July 22, 2008 near this location. That will be great if true - we shall see!

I can't remember ever having service problems anywhere in michigan. I seem to get service in places that other people with different carriers dont. The only place where it drops out are in elevators. I usu. have full service though. I think my friend had a T-Mobile and it wouldn't work in basements.

I have no problem near my home in Warren, Mi or in Kentucky or even Washington D.C.! But once I get to 21 Mile Rd. (near I-94 by Gratiot and Jefferson) I have absolutely no reception whatsoever. Another thing that bothers me is when I am in a store, building, or restaurant in the metropolitan area there is also no reception. I've heard most companies are worse though, so I have stuck with T-Mobile for approximately 6 years. The customer service was great (until I had to speak to India - where they have trasferred). Still they are quick to help or replace a cell phone. I just wish they could do better north of 21 Mile (upper north - i.e. Caseville included).
