Before the boating season really started I got decent edge and if I could get a 3g signal it would hold and I could watch netflix with some pauses below deck on my boat. I could also send sms photos. Ever since June / July I can't send pics without trying 50 times and barely can send text. Calls drop big time. I'm sure it has to do with the crowds. AT&T fixed elkhart, laporte and chunck of the county and south bend signal. Excellent coverage there but New buffalo michigan sucks big time!

Husband has ATT IPhone and almost no reception. He cannot receive calls at our home, only in Michigan City. I have Centennial and excellent reception. We pay 2 family plans and cannot merge until we know when ATT will take over the Centennial towers. No one seems to know the answer to that question!

Coverage sucks from Three Oak - New Buffalo - Most the time there is no reception.

As soon as you cross the state line, reception drops 3 bars! Once you pass the Michigan sign, reception is very spotty. Along Rt. 12, there is about 1 bar of service. Inside Redamaks, there is usually zero or one bars, but there is no reception in the middle of the restaurant, and roaming only produces zero bars. Sprint has no reception along the beach, but roaming will give about one or two bars for calls, and they will not drop. Many carriers seem to have trouble getting over 2 bars in this area. There is a serious lack of cell sites in southwestern Michigan.

All of New Buffalo has spotty to no SprintPCS reception. Reception drops dramatically between the Indiana State line and the city limits on US 12 / bc

In the house reception is poor, outside spotty, but with my head out the upstairs window I get 2-3 bars EDGE and consistent call quality without dropping calls. Think I'll invest in a cell phone amplifier system since none of the carriers seem to have good service here.
