Verizon 0 Out of 5 Phone Model: HTC Wizard	The only phones that work in the area are Nextel. This is because the Fermi plant has a tower. I've tried an active cell phone repeater - no luck. There is just no signal.

AT&T 0 Out of 5 Phone Model: Motorola V190	Reception is crazy in this part of Newport. When I let my phone sit in place for a few minutes, I can usually pick up a bar or two, but when I start moving around with it talking, my signal diminishes down to nothing. It's so frustrating! When you're in Monroe, however, you get a perfect five bars. I don't recommend Cingular for people who live in Stoney Point / Point Aux Peaux Farms. I hear T-Mobile gets around three or four bars, though - so I think I might be switching sometime soon!

Nextel 4 Out of 5 Phone Model: Motorola i560	The new tower added at Dixie and Pte. Aux Peaux seem to really help issues abound in the Beach Areas. Great signal strength all the way out to Woodland Beach. Strongly considering giving up land line and GSM service and going strictly cellular with Nextel. Everywhere from Monroe through Newport with great reception indoors. Nextel phones leave a little to be desired. Menus are primitive as well as inputting data. Sound quality is excellent, though.

Verizon 1 Out of 5 Phone Model: LG VX6000	weak signal to no signal in most of the Newport area. when traveling around this area one could have dropped calls. I found several dead spots while traveling near Newpoet on I75.

AT&T 0 Out of 5 Phone Model: Samsung x427m	Absolutely no reception! If outside, the phone may connect to the network, but it is only momentary and no signal bars are seen. This seems to be the case with many other phones and networks as is seen when family comes around.
